 The
EPL-5900 range provides high-quality true 1200-dpi printing on paper
sizes up to A4. With a print speed of up to 12 pages per minute this
printer is designed to offer sophisticated yet reliable local or small
workgroup printing with a small footprint suitable for the desktop. The
EPL-5900 features an EPSON controller running a fast processor and
supports the PCL6, PCL5e and optional Adobe PostScript 3 (PS version)
page description languages. A USB 1.1 port, along with IEEE 1284
parallel interface, are provided as standard ensuring easy connection to
either a PC or Apple Macintosh environment. Paper handling as standard
includes a 250-sheet multi-purpose tray capable of printing on a variety
of paper sizes and types as well as postcards and envelopes. The
EPL-5900 can be further expanded with the option of an additional
500-sheet paper cassette, which increases the total paper capacity of
the machine to 750 sheets.
