Droplet Technology™ which combines revolutionary techniques in ink
droplet size and quality with accurate ink application and composition,
for spectacular photo results. Its print head features 3,072 precisely
machined nozzles - providing the quality enhancement people have come to
expect from one of the leaders in digital imaging. True borderless
4" x 6" photos can be produced in about 37 seconds because of
the high-density print head. It achieves a resolution of up to 4800 x
1200 dpi* with ultra-small 4-picoliter droplets revealing precise
details in your photographs that many other large-format printers just
can't match - more nozzles are better!

Canon Think Tank System™ can save ink - and money.
The i9100 Photo Printer features an intelligent ink management system
coupled with six individual ink tanks designed to help eliminate ink
waste and reduce printing costs. Replace only the color that runs out
rather than the entire cartridge. A unique low-ink sensor alerts you
when ink levels are low, so you can drop in a new tank and avoid running
out of ink unexpectedly in the middle of printing your super-sized
13" x 19" prints.
