feature-rich i860 Desktop Photo Printer offers the ultimate in
versatility with high-definition photos and laser-sharp black text at
unbelievable speeds. It achieves a maximum resolution of 4800 x 1200
color dpi*, impressive speeds of up to 23 ppm in black, up to 16 ppm in
color, and edge-to-edge borderless 4" x 6" photos in
approximately 50 seconds. Canon advanced MicroFine Droplet Technology™
uses a revolutionary nozzle system that ejects consistent
prescribed-volume droplets as small as 2 picoliters, for nearly
grain-free images. It features a symmetrical print head design that
virtually eliminates color variance and banding problems typically found
with conventional high speed printing. Canon launches the next
evolutionary step in digital printing with the introduction of
ContrastPLUS, an advanced 5 color ink system. Offering the best of both
worlds, the i860 printer delivers exceptional black text quality with a
pigment-based black ink. Plus, it provides true 4 color photo printing
with a photo black ink for improved image contrast and overall photo
sharpness.

With direct photo printing technology, you can print without a
computer. Simply connect any Bubble Jet Direct or PictBridge-compatible
digital camera or camcorder to the convenient front-panel Direct Print
Port, and print! The i860 printer also enables you to print edge-to-edge
true borderless photos in 4 x 6, 5 x 7 and 8.5 x 11 in. sizes
effortlessly, with the look and feel of traditional photographs. The
included 4" x 6" photo paper tray can be attached to the auto
sheet feeder, so you'll always have your choice of paper ready for
printing.
Easy-PhotoPrint
and Easy-WebPrint software.
The included Easy-PhotoPrint software, an Exif Print 2.2
compatible application, makes it simple to print stunning digital
photos. It faithfully reproduces the colors digitally captured, while
improving image quality by virtually eliminating "Photo Noise"
and boosting color saturation with "Vivid Photo" driver
enhancements. The result: more perfect-looking photos that you can't
wait to share. Easy-WebPrint software automatically analyzes and formats
web pages so they'll print with full color and without trimming off the
right-hand margin.
