The BJ-W9000 utilizes the exclusive MicroFine Droplet Technology which provides higher stability, quality, uniformity and precise placement of each droplet which translates into less visible dots. The BJ-W9000 outputs 720,000 pixels per square inch resulting in true 1200-dpi resolution (1,200 X 600) in all print modes, including High-Speed, Normal, and Enhanced modes. The advantage of this high resolution is that the graininess of printed images is practically indistinguishable and text lines are extremely sharp. What is even more astonishing is that the BJ-W9000 maintains this resolution in all print mode settings, placing itself apart from all its competitors.

The BJ-W9000 utilizes a six-color ink system. With a six-color ink system your color gamut improves considerably. A six-color ink system can improve color blends that range from mid-tones and highlights, thereby creating superior quality images. The BJ-W9000 utilizes high-speed print head technology that is built for speed. It has four print heads with bi-directional printing control that enables the BJ-W9000 to achieve high-speed printing. Each of the four heads is designed with three-color chip sets. Twelve combined chip sets dispense from 3,072 nozzles.

The BJ-W9000 prints with an 8-picoliter dot size in all print modes. The ability to print this dot size aids in it's proficiency to print smoother gradations, especially when printing skin tones. It has four print heads with bi-directional printing control that enables the BJ-W9000 to achieve high-speed printing.

Extremely fast, the BJ-W9000 has the engine speed to print approximately 15 2'X3'1200-dpi posters in an hour. The BJ-W9000 maintains true 1200-dpi quality even in the fastest production modes.In high-speed mode the printer is rated at 92 sq. feet per hour. In terms of production, the BJ-W9000 is capable of feeding media from three different locations including dual cassette drawers as well as a single-sheet feeding bypass mechanism. The dual roll media cassettes of the BJ-W9000 allow users to load identical media in both cassettes or different media in each of the two cassettes. A simple drop-in loading system is all that is needed when changing the media. The BJ-W9000 dual cassette system has the capability to auto-switch to the second cassette when the first paper roll is finished. The BJ-W9000 also offers a built-in automatic cutter to deliver maximum productivity and media use efficiency with continuous roll output.

The ink system of the BJ-W9000 is built for long unattended print runs. It has a very large capacity of 650ml per color of C,M,Y,K,PC,PM in it's ink tank system. The BJ-W9000 includes a sub-tank ink system so that ink may be changed on the fly while the printer continues to output images. For added convenience, the ink tank is self-priming making it very clean and efficient.

The LCD panel communicates printer status for the BJ-W9000, and it is easy to use and very user friendly. It allows a user to easily access the various automated features of the printer. The BJ-W9000's ink level detection system ensures that an ample supply of ink flows continuously throughout the system. The BJ-W9000 also has auto-registration, banding adjustment and a clogged nozzle detection system designed to utilize additional nozzles in case of clogging.
